After a few days of regrowth this settles and feels smooth again.
In layman’s terms, yes it is. However in a professional setting we are using surgical blades which are designed to not only remove the hair with no trauma to the follicle, but will also remove the surface dead skin layer. Traditional razors are designed to only remove the hair and not exfoliate the skin and can cause more skin friction and trauma, potentially resulting in hair growing back thicker.

Dermaplaning removes only the very top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum and vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz.
After the first treatment some clients may experience some mild purging from the skin. For clients who suffer with oily/acneic skin we would not recommend dermaplaning if you have a lot of active acne as this can spread the bacteria. If your skin is prone to breakouts after treatments we would always recommend combining dermaplaning with HydraFacial to deliver key oil controlling ingredients into the skin.
