Why come to us for Depigmentation Peels?

We added the Depigmentation Mesopeel from Mesoestetic to our treatment menu as we wanted to offer our customers an effective solution to treat pigmentation without significant discomfort or downtime.

This depigmenting peel uses a complex formula that accelerates epidermis renewal for removal of the melanin built up on the surface. It provides a visible improvement in tone and luminosity using the innovative formulation of 20% azelaic + 10% resorcinol + 6% phytic + 3% tranexamic.

The Depigmentation peel is suitable for all skin types and gives fast effective results in just 45 minutes. There is minimal discomfort, most clients experience a mild stinging sensation however this is only for a few minutes and is tolerated very well by the majority of people.

A course of 6 bi-weekly treatments are needed and combining the treatment with at home skincare is recommended to achieve optimum results.

For those wanting to supercharge their results and get maximum benefits we can also combine the peels with low level microneedling all of which will be discussed at your consultation.

With over 20 years combined industry experience we are highly experienced in skin peels. We will talk you through a comprehensive consultation prior to the treatment, do a full skin analysis using our Observ skin analysis machine and be sure to answer any questions and give clear aftercare advice.

Depigmenation Peel FAQ

The melanostop peel is a chemical peel comprised of 20% azelaic acid, 10% resorcinol, 6% phytic acid, 3% tranexamic acid.

It is suitable for all skin types but specifically designed to treat superficial and epidermal pigmented lesions, particularly developed for the treatment of age spots and sun damage.

Skin hyperpigmentation is caused by abnormal production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour, and a consequence of uncontrolled, localised overproduction of melanin inside the melanocyte, which causes irregular skin colouration and dark spots. Numerous external and internal factors can cause hyperpigmentation:

 • Genetic Tendency                        • Ageing

 • Sun Exposure                              • Exposure to Chemicals

• Inflammation                                 • Photosensitising medication

• Hormonal Changes

This is a gentle peel with little to no downtime. It renews the epidermal layers, while increasing its thickness and lightening the skin using a innovative blend of skin specific acids.

A course of 6 treatments 2 weeks apart are recommended. For optimum results we recommend combining this with pigment reducing skincare.

Laser is a commonly used, highly effective treatment. It is particularly effective for low and medium phototype skins (phototype 1-3) where hyperpigmentation is more visible on the skin surface. Even so, the professional must recommend a maintenance treatment to prevent the reappearance. In higher phototypes (phototype 4-6) however, laser is less effective, and the likelihood of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation is higher. The melanostop peels are better tolerated, more efficient and involve a lower risk of recurrence and a longer-lasting result.

There is some very mild stinging during the treatment but this is easily tolerated by the majority of clients, pre treatment skin numbing is not necessary and the peel is only on the skin for 5 minutes.

There is minimal to no downtime following a melanostop peel, you may experience some very mild skin shedding however this is very rare.

A monthly maintenance treatment is recommended or a course of 6 bi-weekly treatments can be performed twice per year.
