What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is characterised by redness and flushing, most commonly visible on the cheeks and nose. Nobody definitively knows what causes it and it can unfortunately not be cured, however we have plenty of options available to help to manage the symptoms. Most rosacea sufferers will find that they have 'triggers' that cause their Rosacea to flare up and get worse. It's important to know your triggers and try to avoid them where possible, here are some of the most common;

Common triggers:

  • Eating spicy food
  • Drinking alcohol
  • Menstruation
  • Stress

What we know about Rosacea:

  • It is more common in people who suffered with acne when they were younger
  • Most people find they start exhibiting symptoms around the age of 30
  • It can be exacerbated by excess oil being on the skin and people can often have acne alongside it
  • Those suffering tend to think that they have dry skin. This is because their cell turnover is faster, causing the skin to appear flaky. They then apply moisturisers which can make the rosacea worse

With over 18 years combined experience in the Aesthetic industry, we have seen many people suffering with Rosacea.

We use cosmeceutical skincare to control oil production and reduce inflammation. By then combining this with HydraFacial we improve the health of the skin, reducing inflammation and improving skin renewal. All of our treatments and products are clinically proven and results driven to give you the clear skin that you deserve.

Rosacea FAQ

Regular skincare is essential to stay on top of the condition, without it you will never truly control it. If we then combine this daily skincare with monthly HydraFacial's, the HydraFacial treatment improves overall skin health and allows topical products applied at home to penetrate deeper giving you optimum results.

For those that want a fast result then we would recommend an intensive course of 6 HydraFacial's, performed once a week for 6 weeks and skincare is included in the price with a 20% discount. To discuss your options, arrange a general skincare consultation with us today.

Don't use moisturiser as this will increase oil production and cause the skin to look worse. Do use products including salicylic acid to reduce oil production. Be more aware of your triggers and what makes your rosacea flare up, try to avoid these where possible.
